Hydrophobic Snow Foam
Your vehicle is washed. Now it’s time for shine and water repellency. Follow these simple steps for a beautiful, even finish.
Dosage
Choose your foamer.
Foam cannon / foam lance
50 ml product
+ 450 ml water
Mix 500 ml of the solution in the tank. Apply the foam evenly over the clean, wet vehicle.
Hand Foamer / E-Foamer
20ml - 30ml product
+ 1.5 liters of water
First fill with water and add the product. Keep the maximum fill level of your foamer in mind.
These are the mixing ratios in the tank, not the final dilution on the paint. Settings and water pressure affect foam formation. Also follow the label and your device's manual.
Steps
How to apply it.
Wash your vehicle first.
First, remove loose dirt with your regular Nanoglans Snow Foam and rinse. Then wash the vehicle where necessary with Fantastic Shampoo and a clean wash mitt. Rinse thoroughly. The protective foam is applied to the clean, still wet surface.
Mix the correct dosage.
Select your device above. First, fill the reservoir with water and then add Hydrophobic Snow Foam. Mix gently and close the reservoir according to your foamer's instructions.
Distribute the foam evenly.
Apply an even layer of foam to the exterior. Work on a cool surface and out of direct sunlight. Treat a large motorhome or caravan in sections so that you can rinse off in time.
Leave to work for a few minutes.
Give the formula time to distribute itself. Never let the foam dry. Does it dry faster due to wind or heat? Rinse it off sooner. The adhesive foam does not need to form water beads while working.
Rinse thoroughly. Dry afterwards.
Carefully rinse off all product residue with clean water. The water-repellent effect will become visible as you rinse. Dry with a clean Nanoglans XXL drying cloth to remove any remaining water droplets. There is no need to buff out the wax.

Lots of foam is not the only goal.
Even distribution and thorough rinsing are more important than an extremely thick layer of foam. Use the recommended dosage; more product is not necessarily better.
Motorhome or caravan? Work in sections.
For example, treat one side wall at a time. Prepare additional mixture as needed. The required amount depends on the surface area and your foamer's settings.
Refresh your coating.
Hydrophobic Snow Foam can refresh the water repellency and shine of your existing coating. Can also be combined with Nanoglans Coating Spray.
Clean your foamer after use.
Rinse the reservoir and spray head according to the device's instructions. Always follow the directions on the product label for storage and safe use.
Questions
Just checking quickly.
Is this the same foam as the regular Snow Foam?
No. You use regular Snow Foam during the pre-wash to loosen dirt. Hydrophobic Snow Foam is the protective step after cleaning, for extra shine and water repellency.
Does my vehicle need to be wet or dry?
Apply this product to a clean, wet and cool vehicle. Work out of direct sunlight and prevent the product from drying out.
How long does it take to work in?
A few minutes. Keep an eye on the surface and rinse it off before the foam dries. Wind, temperature and sun affect how quickly that happens.
Why don't I see any water beads yet while rinsing?
The formula is designed to first adhere to the surface and spread out. The water-repellent effect is activated when rinsed.
Can it be used on matte paint, wraps, glass, and plastic?
According to the product information, Hydrophobic Snow Foam is suitable for matte paintwork and wraps and can be applied to the exterior, including glass and plastic. Rinse everything thoroughly. For special materials, always follow the manufacturer's care instructions.
I see streaks or leftover product. What now?
Do not allow any residue to dry. Carefully rinse the surface with clean water and dry with a clean cloth. Are traces still visible? Contact Nanoglans and specify your dosage and the device used before treating again.
How long does the water-repellent effect last?
The product information states a water-repellent effect for up to 90 days. The actual duration depends on preparation, use, weather, and maintenance.
Can I also use it with a bucket?
The product page states 30–50 ml for hand washing, but does not specify a fixed bucket size. Therefore, use the full instructions on your label or ask Nanoglans for the appropriate dosage for your bucket. The foamer dosages above are fully specified.
